I may be wrong, but i don't think the 2200's ( green cells?) were meant for RC Cars, but people took them from power tools.

I may be wrong, but i remember reading something about this a while ago on TechTalk.

Yup, that's right, the "greenie meanies" were originally from power tools, & from what I heard, when Sanyo got word about that, they threatened to stop shipping ALL of their cells here unless it was stopped(but I can't verify that one). In truth, it didn't matter much, since Sanyo was only a few months from shipping their 2400mah NiCd's, which were equal to or better in all ways than the 2200's. And of course, now we have 3000 & 3300mah NiMh's, so 2200's are just not in demand much(if at all)....

ALL of our cells start out in the power tool market....and anything else that uses rechargeable batteries....we are probably the last thing on their minds when making batteries. No kidding.

In my possession, I have the ONLY pack matched from an unnamed (did not get his permission.....but I guarantee you that his stuff is what everybody else's is compared to.......hint...hint)......battery matcher. The voltage is 1.152, 293 runtime, 3.2 ir...all at 30 amps!!

Thanks guys, I wanted to see if it was true what I have heard about them.... 1 they make run time, 2 they weigh less than the 2400 and 3 the low IR and High voltage make you weak at the knees.......... ????????

I have two matched packs of the green meanies. To me they don't quite have the punch of my 2400's in my TC3. In my XXT I didn't see much difference, I'm not much of a dirt driver. As far as I know the company that matched and sold most of these has moved on to making battery packs for battle robots and they are no longer available.
