Default Ebay cheap TC tires, anyone tried them?

I ordered a few sets of these in a few different tread patterns. I'm not expecting sorex but am curious as to how bad or good they are. Anyone tried em?

Believe it or not, after searching there isn't one person who has left a review. Either way, I'll be the test bunny and report back. They may not be too bad. But I don't expect great.

I haven't bought these specific tires, but I did buy a set of cheap tires for my Xray T2 off ebay. While it was no where near competition level, it was definitely one of those tires you would use for fun, or just practicing around laps.

I have purchased a set of those cheap ebay tires and are not bad at all. I wouldn't recommend racing with them for they overheat quickly 125 F track temp. It's takes a bit to start biting but as soon as it starts to bite, it will only be good for about five good laps. Highly recommend for bashers. On the up side, they do a pretty decent glue job.

Thanks for taking the time to provide an informative reply. I bought a set of the same ones. My plan is to learn on them first and when I'm finally getting decent in regards to driving, switch up to some sorex.

I wouldn't bother. If you're planning to practice, then I would suggest HPI X pattern pro compound. the HPI's at least have somewhat consistent grip and can get for cheap. I believe the Ride radials are cheap as well. I believe some tracks use the Ride radials for their USGT classes.

No point practicing on an tyres other than the ones you are going to race with. Total waste of time.

They look like a good driveway tire to me. Keep us in the loop.

Probably great for having fun in a parking lot, but for racing I recommend a racing tire, usually it's a Spec tire selected by the track you'll race at.

^Agreed^

It's like going to football practice in high heels, then switching to your real shoes for the real game.

For fun f@ck!ng around, sure, $6.99 is worth it. For real practice, get real shoes.

We actually have a spec tire for indoor and outdoor racing. Muchmore absolute 32 outdoor. Sweep qts32 indoor. I think for the carpet facility this winter we will have nwspec sweeps supplied by kody and then we get special wcics qts32s for the big race.

Play with the ebay tires as you wish but expect a transition into what the rest of us are running =)
