Default data logging

What can you guys recommend for good datalooggers? Im trying to find something that will power itself from my receiver lipo but also log the main battery packs. Amp draw, voltage, and a few temp probes are my biggest wants

What about speed? Is everyone going with the garmin?

Don't know how reliable they are, but there are quite a few telemetry receivers out there. Or do real data loggers exsist for this platform?

I just bought the EagleTree Logger v4 and find it does an excellent job. It is small enough you can mount right in the car if you want, or you can do like I am doing a build a dyno and mount it outside.

Also, speed is measured in seconds/lap.

I second the eagle tree I've had the v3 for a few years and used it a lot in my boats to test props. You can get a gps add on for it as well that is pretty small. Over the years I've tried most the sensors for it watts, temp, and speed are my most used.

Now that i think about it, i would also be interested in g forces. I eyeballed the sentry for a little bit, but the resoltion is only 1hz... nowhere near enough. I did like the fact that you could put a sensor on pretty much anything. That could be usefull to actually see when the avc is correcting the position of the car. (Less correction = straighter launc = more speed less et)

I will look at the eagle..

Any others have suggestions?

It looks as if the eagle will only log 150 amp burst. Im afraid that wont be anough. Something with an inductive pickup would be much better.. i might see if i can hack something and use it on a temperature port... correlate the temp/voltage/inductance and i might can back door my way to a actual amp draw...

That said, i guess it also logs voltage, so you could probably calculate it... meh...

Look for Fidelio telemetry system, works only with Sanwa though.
