Now the car will only steer left or right no throttle at all. The esc green light turns bright at half throttle and shuts off at full throttle. No power to the wheels at all...

re-calibrate your TX to ESC.

this sucks....google isn't helpful at all....... its a AI Digital ESC and I cannot find anything in the manual on how to reset the esc or whatever. all it says is "no throttle = speed control out of adjust....reset speed control using your instruction manual" and when I go to the manual it doesn't say anything about a speed control

Not accustom to the lower type ESC's. More into hi-end ESC's like Tekins & Novak. It sound like you're running a brushed motor, cuz of battery you're using. As for using AI Digital ESC search AI Digital ESC Manual in RCDocument .com. It will open several ESC Manuals. I looked at a few of them, and it Calibrates automatically. Secondly, Watch what setting you have on your charger, 3000mah(3amps) you charger should be set at. Most NiMh can be set 10% higher, but if you're still a rookie, I would charge more then the battery is rated for. Heat of battery is a bad thing, Monitor it, good charger shut itself off and drops to .5amps(trickle charge).
