BODIES at the ROAR Nat's

Just curious guys, can anyone enlighten me as to what bodies were used by the A-main winners? From the few photos that have been posted, it looked like HARA used the Pf Mazda 6, but I'm not sure of what any of the other ROAR On-Road Champions used.
Thanks in advance.

Hey Dale,

Andrew Ellis used a PF Mazda, Ralph Burch changed back and forth between a Stratus and Mazda. Im pretty sure Tom Espo used a Mazda. To be honost I didnt see anything other than Mazda's and 3.0AP's.

Eric; Thanks for the info.
Any 12th scale racers know what Lufaso and the other 1/12th scale A-main winners used? Thanks in advance.

Dale

I painted a bunch of bodies for the race, one stratus 3.0 ap and all the rest were Mazda's.

Strange that at the worlds there was more diversity when it came to body choices of the A finalists. Especially considering it was on a faster high speed track where the aero should matter more?.................Jim

Jim,

Thats most likely becuase there were different bodies that were legal for the worlds. Most of the RIDE, Tamiya and Yokomo Bodies are not legal for ROAR Nationals racing.

Thanks to Jeff Schwartz and RCPics.Net, roughly 300 or so photos of the
ROAR On-Road Electric Nationals are now posted. You can find all the
appropriate links to get to each gallery in the middle of the race
report at SGrid Online (http://www.sgrid.com). Enjoy!

(All I need to finish now, is the equipment list - it's just about
done, and will be posted tomorrow or Saturday.)

Sorry, I should have explained everything.

What I posted was:

What I left out, is to get to the articles and photos, you need to subscribe to Starting Grid, which is still only $25 per year. It's never gone up. To set up an account, click on the link to do so. Once you're on (it should take just a few minutes) you get access to everything in the magazine. Eventually, getting a subscription will get you access to *both* the magazine and the conferences, but for now, you can still get to the conferences even if you're not a subscriber.

The magazine isn't supposed to be a replacement for any message system; it's supposed to be something more like a paper magazine. It doesn't replace this site, or the conferences, or any other website... it's more like a paper maggy, where everything is compiled into one article you can read, with links to lots of images. While the paper magazine it replaces, "The Starting Grid" has been around since 1989, the online maggy is only half a year old.
