Hi guys i was wondering if any of you guys have tried using those hands free tyre gluers are they any good?

I tried kyosho tyre gluer which works fine, but i prefer gluing with my hands.

also does it work on tyres that are already glued but need to be re-glued slightly?

They just push the tyre back and make it easier to glue....and no more stupid SUPER glue on your fingers lol.

can i use them on tyres that are already glued for regluing for extra strength if that makes sense

After going through a few hundred sets of tires, it will take less than a few minutes to glue/reglue a complete set of 4 tires. That's why almost all the Pros are not using this type of device. If you are new to glue and tires, you will need extra help.

so i take it that the tyre gluers take more time to glue tyres then doing it with your hands.

but in staying that which one gives the best result? hand or tyre gluer? can those tyre glues give a good even glued finished? i cant even do a good job using my hands im very new to rubbers, well to gluing them actually

dude get the $10 hobbytech gluer, i got one, they work great. just remember less (glue) is more (better) cz it spreads quite a bit. all u need is like 4 glue points of 1 drop around the tire. once it is glued check that it is all stuck. just remember to make the hole in the glue tip small, or better yet use the bostic glue bottle with the button on the side of the bottle these are great cuz you can tip it upside down without it all flowing out.

thanks for the tips Tom i thought they were worth $50+ i have 2 types of glue bottles the loctite and another one which is SO THIN!!! and have take off glue tips... really small tips. but i think i now know what im doing wrong like you said one drop would spread out alot, what i did was more than one drop thinking it wasnt enough

ill get one this weekend
