Default Anyone raceing the tekin 17.5 red can

I wanted to know if this motor is a solid competitor . I have heard of racers swapping out rotors for high torque ones. Before I start experimenting with other brands, I want to know how or if I can compete with the tekin.

I used to run them. I thought it was very competitive. I preferred the HT rotor most of the time. I think they don't rev as high and have more torque than some of the others so you can gear them a tooth or two higher to make up the speed. Never had any complaints with them.

I will look into a ht rotor and play with the gearing like you said. I will look into other motors as well. There are just so many out there I hope I don't end up with a box full that won't get used.
