I'm sure Eddie could have had Peter get his magnets zapped, if it would have made him faster, but he didn't do it and won the race. So it sounds like zapping is just another tuning option, not a way to cheat to win.

Okay.... as I see it it's like this...... does everybody own or have access to a motor zapper? Does the ROAR rulebook allow zapping? If everybody wants more horsepower, then they should get out of stock and run mod. Stock is as the name applys... stock, as in not altered, modifiyed or otherwise changed from it's production form. To me, zapping a stock motor is like giving a runner steriods. Is that legal??? Only if you get caught, right?

Like what's his name off Days of Thunder, "There's nothing stock about a stock car" I don't think it's about having more horsepower on the track, it's about having more horsepower than the other guy Did that make sense?

Yep, it makes sense. Kinda like needing more horsepower
than the other guy, especially if he can outdrive you. LoL!!

I just think that if it doesn't say you can't do something in the rule book then why not try it and see what happens, stock motors have a lot of potential, you just have to spend time with them. However, I think this magnet zapping to increase timing thing is pretty gay because it takes no tuning skill.

What does this zapper do? Make the magnets stronger or advance timing?

They'll do either. Depends on how you have the motor setup in the machine itself.
