Factory Xray/Trinity/Novak driver Jared Scott used Hybrid Dip 3000 Traction Compound to win the ROAR Nats Warm Up Race at Speedline Hobbies last weekend.

Factory Schumacher/Reedy/LRP driver Paul Wynn finished second.

Both drivers used Hybrid Dip 3000 Traction Compound. Dip 3000 was also used by Craig Dresher to win the Invitational class at the 2005 Reedy Race and by Marc Rheinard to win the 2004 IFMAR Worlds. In fact 8 out of 10 Worlds A-Finalist used Dip 3000 including the top 3 finishers.

Jared and Paul both said that Dip 3000 gave their cars more steering than any other traction compound they tested and was good for the complete race from start to finish. It also worked consistently from cool morning track temps to the blazing heat of the afternoon.

Is this stuff available to the public or still in the testing stages?

AdrianM 09-07-2005 11:09 AM

Its is in stock now at every website listed, dozens of local hobby shops all over the US and is available to any hobby shop that contacts us right now.

European and Japanese racers have been using this for over a year. Its not really a new product. It is a proven product that is new to the US market.

Here are some pics of guys that have been using it for some time:

Last weekend, Jason Moberly of Schumacher/Fantom/Tekin/SMC used Hybrid Dip 300 traction compound to TQ and win 2 of 3 A Mains at the Region 12 On Road Championships held at Speedworld Raceway in Roseville, CA.

Dip performed better then any other compound he tried. Traction was consistent from start to finish, including the early morning heats where others were having to use tire warmers and still didn't have proper traction until 2 or 3 laps into the race.

Is there any kind of process for applying the compound? How long does it have to stay on the tires...any information like that?

Ive been using this stuff in the UK for the last few months or so and i must say its awesome! :sneaky:

I tend to put it on my tyres after my run and then wipe off the heat before im on,Dont leave it to late to wipe it off otherwise it makes the first few laps abit sketchy!

Minor details............ I want to know what kind of socks they were wearing.

We leave it on to the last minute and then wipe it off well with paper towels. Before going to the track we spray a clean paper towel with Trinity Buggy Grip and use it to clean the last of the Dip off the tires. This ensures first lap grip.

Does this come in "long cut" and leave a worn spot on your back pocket as well?

dave 09-07-2005 03:50 PM

Hey Adrian,

Are the results from the warmup race posted anywhere? Thanks

Dave

Not yet. The results page on SpeedlineHobbies.com would be the first place they would show up.
