Is this a 419 or a frankenstein chassis? Find It online and the guy wants 95 bucks for it. Need Some care though. To my best knowledge, It is clearly not a 417 v5... I have no idea where this chassis has been through though...

Looks like 419 but I would ask for more pictures.

TRF419 (1st gen)
Some parts are not original kit standard.

Thanks, guys. Guess I'll just take the gamble and not inform the seller. He has no idea that this is a 419 rather than a 417...

It looks like a 417 with a raceberry chassis conversion on it. With Tamiyas most recent suspension as well

I believe they are the optional lightweight spool outdrives from the TA06.

This is Tamiya 54544 /TA06/ - fits plug and play into TRF419X/XR/WS.

Yes. I use them on every car I have. Be beware, that you probably need shorter front axles to free up motion of the blades.

You do not need shorter ones in 419X - works fine, I use them as well. Plastic inserts are far better and cheaper from Radtec ( Radtec Yokomo BD7 POM C-Blade 3,5mm /Tonisport) or Techra ( Techra Yokomo BD7 / BD8 Delrin Drive Shaft Replacement Cap ).

In case of TB04 - they fit but shorter shafts are needed.

Hi there. I have a trf ta07ms which shares the same suspension components as the 419. My question is. If I intend in the future, can I bolt my suspension arms etc to a 419xr conversion kit. From what I can see the differences between the 2 are bottom top, decks, bulk heads and motor mount .

Yes, you can. just make sure the dampers you are using matching the arms (418 and 419 arms look similar from far but the damper holes on it are slightly different. I don't know if the 07ms is using ssbb dampers or regular trf dampers). Tamiya suspension has good compatibility after 416 style suspension was introduced.

Yes, running ssbb and 419 arms.
Thanks

It needs a little bit more parts, as only suspension parts to complete a XR conversion to a fully car. If you have no TRF419X as base, it's better to download the XR-Manual and compare. You will find many small parts, pulleys, belts, upper bulkhead parts etc. are different from 07MS. You need a complete screw set etc. In the end of the day it's mostly cheaper, to buy the TRF419XR full kit and have fun with two complete cars.

Btw suspension arms from 07MS are #54691 and they are the 419X ones.

swapped to yokomo 2.6-3.0 progressives in the front, 3.0 linears in the rear and 450cst all the way around today. car was really good. i actually screwed up my sauce for the main as grip didnt come up as high as i would have liked so car was a bit pushy in the main.
overall this was good on black carpet with an other wise stock 419x
