I've always wondered why there isn't more racing at public venues. Seems the hobby would be a lot better off. Every year our club puts on a race that takes place at the world of wheels car show and for 3 days there are spectators lined up 3-4 deep watching. The atmosphere is amazing and creates great awareness for our club and the hobby. Here's a shot from last years crowd during qualifying.

Canadian Indoor "Nats" - Seaway Mall - Hundreds of spectators over the weekend! Super turnout since its inception with Lemeqix, Hebert, The CRC group, and a bunch of super fast Canadiens all attending.

Should just have the Nats in the parking lot of an Applebee's, since all the racers end up there anyway.

Rick better remember it, he won the stock class.

I was at that race. Was my first Nats.

I'm sure the Toledo Applebee's will be overrun with racers this weekend from the GLC. Jesus, it's the only restaurant on earth that can f'up chicken tenders......

The DARC club in Dayton held a race in the atrium of the Piqua Mall in 1991 or 92. Plenty of spectators, pitspace and parking. The best part was that the floor was smooth enough that the carpet could just be taped down. No need for a time consuming, account draining sub-floor like a hotel race.

Breaking news..... carpet nats warmup races are available all season long at the smoothest track in the country and home to the current carpet mod TC champion.... not a bad place for a temp track. Come enjoy....
