Default JR Z-1 and Novak Rx

Does anyone know if the Z-1 and the Novak XXtra RX will work together? I'm curious if I need to spend all that money on the JR 310 Receiver.

The Z-1 comes with a synthesized receiver and module! Any channel. Why would you want to change to the Novak receiver?

Actually,I believe JR 310 has a smaller footprint than a novak synthesized reciever.....the JR 300 that came with the XS3's is the big guy. JR 310's can be purchased cheaper than the Novak synthesized RX and in my one year of running with the 300 and 310's, they have been completely trouble free....even serving duty in 1/8 buggy which is a torture test for any radio gear.

My synthesized XS3 does work with Novak XXLs(with a airtronics crystal no less) but haven't tried it with the XXtra....I have three 310's now with the purchase of my new Z1 this week.

Yes the Z-1 will work with the novak xxtra reciever. But I'm pretty sure you will loose the Advanced High Speed response that the transmitter is capable of. Besides the JR 310 reciever is smaller and lighter than the novak reciever (and the JR 300 reciever).

I have the novak reciever as a good backup.

Thank you all. I just jumped into this radio from an old Futaba 3PDF and was curious what worked and what didn't.

Thanks again.
