Default R1 wurks 17.5 vs trinity D4 17.5

R1 wurks retails for 90
The D4 retails at 100

Thoughts?

Pros and cons?

R1 wurks is at least guaranteed to be legal for a long time...
The D4 might follow the d3.5's path.....

The D4 will probably prove to be more tuneable.
O and if the D4 gets banned ...dont worry im sure they will keep it in the books for another yr. Lol so might as well get ya one and get used to it cause if history does repeat itself . It will be the only motor to have one again lol

The D4 wont be taking off the list unless they change the design from how it was submitted. It was tested on the new machine, using the new process and passed just fine according to ROAR and their independent testing facility.

Ive not ran either on the track but have tested both on the bench using the dyno and other testing methods I use. I'll reserve my findings until I test them this weekend on the carpet. But the D4 wins the bench, dyno and other testing methods by a good margin. But on that note Ive seen several other motors win the bench and dyno test but suck on the track!!!

A Turbo dyno converted for BL motors and also a chassis dyno used for oval racing.

Did the testing include multiple motors of each brand or just one??? Any tuning involved, or were they setup the same??? There are many variables involved in comparing motors, and it is still very early to have a verdict... Hell, I've been running Novak ballistic 17.5t motors from the start, and I still find ways to get a bit more power/torque out of them, eventhough many top racers have thrown in the towel...Patience in testing is key here....

Bert, if there is ANYBODY who you should NOT second guess on RCTech, it's EA.
