its all about chassis flex.
so for high grip ( mostly indoor but maybe even outdoor ) the aluminium chassis is the best choice
for low to medium grip use the original carbon chassis.
when grip is really low you can even try a thinner carbon chassis or top deck für more flex.

I just picked up an R10 '15 ATS with the ARC aluminum chassis that has been milled out. Am I correct in assuming that this chassis is better suited for a technical high grip carpet track? I'm just getting back into TC after 10 years, still trying to get my head back in the game. I am going to race on asphalt this summer and figured it would be best to switch to the carbon chassis.
