For iic it's 1050g for 2S. But ROAR has it 42oz for the old school 6 cell nimh/nicad batteries and they never updated for lipos and brushless motor since the class has not been ran at the Nationals or Worlds for almost 20 years. I think the class is on a comeback but it might take a little more time since most of the tracks are a little on the small side in the USA to run these cars at there full potential. ROAR and IFMAR need to update the rules for this class so everyone is on an even playing field.

Hi Pro10 racers

The 2016 IIC in Vegas was a blast! I was maybe the best indoor event I think I've ever had the pleasure of attending - in my 25 years of doing this stuff.

It was pretty darn cool to see the Pro10 class in action again. The track was huge and quite well suited for these wide cars.

The Protoform Swift seemed to be the body of choice. When qualifying was completed it was used by the top 8 drivers, with an old PF Peugeot 905 in ninth and a Team Saxo on the 10th place qualifier. (the body Saxo scaled up 100% identicle to the Protoform TR12 - without asking permission)

SpeedMerchant driver Chris Tosolini was on fire the whole week. He ran a lap of 11.99 and was on the pole. This was the quickest time laid down by any class - by a bunch! In the A-main Chris went on to beat fellow SpeedMerchant team mates Steven Boice and Andrew Mowery.

Big kudos to Bruce @ SpeedMerchant and his entire team!

Watching the sheer speed of the Pro10's was one of the hi-lites of my 2016 IIC experience!

Did you use 3x8mm motor screws? You need to tighten both screws.

Hi Taz,

You have 2 motor screws holding the motor in place...correct???

If you do, then you either have a stripped out motor can, or possibly the heads of your motor screws are worn out. Or...you're just not tightening the motor screws enough.

make sure you are using the correct rear pod inserts for the bearings, they are not all the same. I made the mistake if using some of my Yokomo inserts which are about 2mm smaller than the speedmerchant ones. I couldnt figure out why I kept stripping spur gears, until i held the car in my hand and pulled full throttle and watched the axle jumping up and down!
