And just like in past years, I am offering a 20% discount on paint work for any body that is ordered for the Southern Nats. PM me to get yours ordered.
What all does the concourse entail? I'm new to bigger events and have never done one before. Just want to make sure i'm fully prepared.

The UF1 rules are a great guideline. They use a spec tire and will be easy to tech. If we run F1 we should stick to these rules because most places are already using them.

Concourse is where all the racers line up against the wall on the straightaway and the race organizer picks the 1 racer a 20% off bodypainting session by Michael Jones that gets video'd and posted on youtube. Kind of like the SI swimsuit issue but way not as hot. That always leads to the Sydor Slam shortly thereafter.

According to that link there is no spec tire. I think a spec tire would be pointless for this event.

I think UF1 Midwest has opted for the Tamiya branded Pit Shimizu tire or the Pits version. The numbers are 1031 and 1032 for the Tamiya branded.

Rob King would be better to ask which is the best for carpet.

As for the f1 class ... i might just have one by sept not sure tho .
Batman : just add F1 to rc signups so you can keep count. If you dont have a full heat sign up 9+ then dont run them if so then great
i would rather run F1 than 1/12 just cause of tires so i hope it catches on in nash at some point and this might be the way...

Eric is correct. The new rules are being written now but I think the spec tire will be the TCS Pits. Also, 2 more guys from Carbondale intend to do F-1 as well as well as VTA. They intend to sign up this weekend for VTA and F1 if available. Spoke with Will and Mike H at the dirt track yesterday. Andy Wallace

Why would someone who won concourse need a gift certificate to have a body painted ? What if they painted the body theirself and it won? So being that its sponsored by rockstar and their is 20 percent discount does this mean a rockstar body will win? Just wondering......

rockstar is just sponsoring the concourse, there's no telling if one of his bodies will win.

if you paint it yourself, which a lot do, then cool. most 'professional' painters are just guts that figured they can make a few bucks on the side painting bodies.

the 20% off certificate is rockstar's giftto the winner. most big race bodies take a beating and need to be replaced, so why not offer a deall off a new paint job

10+ to justify it please....

even if we don't add it...bring them anyway and maybe you can draw attention to the class and help it grow...
