Hey guys got a chance to try some new tires today...

First off in Mod 1/12th I tried the Black/Grey fronts and they works really, really well...

In micro I tried the 45 shore front tires, they were better then the 40 shore, but still need to be a bit stiffer, most guys were running 50 shore Ellegis on the front, I am going to try and CA the sidewall on the 45s and see if I can get them to react like the 50's....Basically the problem is we are putting down sooo much power and speed that the car will traction roll if the fronts grip just a little too much....even with the hockey pucks on the front (50's) you can traction roll....

Try to soften up the rear of the car or stiffen the front to give it a little push. Also, maybe try a little bit smaller diameter, but remember to compensate for the rollout change with your gearing.

I am trying alot of things, hopefully I will get to the track during my vacation and turn a bunch of laps with different setups. I am pretty sure I can make the tires do what I want them to do, but would really love to see a 50 Front for the micro, heck maybe even a 55 Front...

Lol, I feel that way in Nitro sometimes. Damn, if they only made a 47 or a 50. 45 fronts are pretty damn hard but sometimes they will let you roll over too. Sometimes a lot of it comes down to how you drive the car into the corner as well. I have been trying to work on my smoothness(on and off the track). It is hard because it doesnt feel as fast, but it usually is.

I hear that about smooth, micros are all about that, if you try and throw them around you will be going for a wild ride...but even driving smooth the 45's just arent hard enough...You wouldn't believe how fast we got these little cars going and the incredible part they are ultra-durable...knock on wood I have yet to break a part on my car and I have run it about a dozen times...XRay makes a great car no matter what the size
