Default Mcallister Corvette DP -defect or just the way it is?

I just got my new Corvette Daytona Prototype body. I love the body except for some imprefections in the roof. I know there are some limitations when making a lexan body, the manufacturer can only do so much. Especially on tight compound curves.
There are some imperfections in the roof on mine, near the back of the roof. I'm wondering if anyone else has this body and if theirs has the same imperfections.
I'm wondering if I got a bad one, or if its just an imperfection that owners of this body have to live with.
It is an incredibly well designed and absolutely beautiful body. It's hard to imagine that there would be imperfections in such an obvious area with all the detail that is in the body.
It's hard to see in the pictures, but it shows up very prominently in person. At first I thought/hoped it was the over spray film. But you can feel it on the inside of the body. There are a few small places that look like wrinkles and a couple that look like this spots.
Trying to get some pics but really hard to get the places to show on camera

these pics SORT OF show it. Its so much more obvious in person
Like I said, some of it looks like typical wrinkles in the over spray film, but you can feel it on the inside of the body.

if they are defects, the vendor wants me to pay shipping to them, then pay shipping for them to send me another one.

any suggestions on how to hide these?

McAllister bodies are notorious for having blemishes/imperfections in the molds. They make really neat stuff and it seems it's just something you live with. I wouldn't worry about it and doubt a new one will be much if any different.

If your looking for a shelf queen, buy Tamiya bodies. If not, live with it.

Greetings. I've several bodies [ generally from the well know mfg's ] and some had half-inch creases from when they're pulled during their formation. I hadn't any reservations about painting them (with either rattle cans or an airbrush). In short, try lighter shades of paint (ie. white) for the affected area(s). Good luck.

OH my god. Yes, I did talk to Gary. And after talking with him, I can tell you that odds are that I will NEVER purchase bodies from anyone else.
I wish more people ran their business the way Gary does.
He was very polite. He told me that there have been some problems with the molds and that the molds had to be repaired. He's planning on pulling some bodies from the new mold soon and offered to send me a new one as soon as they are ready. He even offered me a different model in case I didn't want to wait.
It seems like nobody cares about their customers anymore. Gary is definitely one of the greats.
Please don't hesitate to purchase mcallister products.
