Default capacitor help

i am planning on trying a capacitor on my v7.1 because i need a bit more punch for my 9x1 d6... anyway i am wondering what type of capacitor(s) i should use. what voltage and mf i need. at my hands i have 3 16v 1000mF, i have 2 10v 3300mF, 4 10v 1500mF. thats about it... and i have some little ones if there is anything else. if i need to ill go buy some more.

thanks alot
marshal v.

Your best bet would be to use one or two of the 10 v 3300mf caps.

Remember that running big caps can reduce your run time a bit. With a 9x1, unless your running great packs, it may be an issue. Have you tried gearing down a tooth to get the punch you need? A 9x1 should have plenty of grunt...

it isnt the gearing, even when its off the ground its sluggish. the motor itself takes alot of amp draw, but it is amazingly fast when it works right. it just needs a punch to spool it up.

I know it sounds obvious, but have you tried setting the acceration program on the ESC ? On the LRP V7.1, you need to plug in programming chips, remove the program chip for max punch !

When you pick the car up and hit the throttle, it should wind up very fast. If not, it probably isn't the batts. You might have a shorted segment or pole of the armature, or maybe your speedo is screwed up....
