Tekin Gen2/RSX will do this.

The Viper VTX10 series can be adjusted up to 7V.

Unless you're really looking for the speed and torque you get with the full voltage every HV servo I know of will run on 6v. And most have specs listed for them at that voltage.

Tekin RSX/RS Gen 2 is the only ESC that has a true 7.4v BEC setting (you need the optional hotwire in order to activate the mode). To be honest though I doubt you'd need such a high power servo in a TC, furthermore I wasn't aware of any low profile HV servos from the major marques?

I use one of these in all my cars running HV servos. They get their power straight from the lipo balance port.

The issue with using HV servos in EP cars (when running off your main lipo) is degradation of performance over the run.

For a typical 6min run, you start at 8.4V and finish at 7.4-7.6V - it's not much, but the drop in servo performance means you would be constantly micro adjusting your lines. Hardly ideal for consistency.

A stable BEC voltage is much better, be it 6, 6.6 or 7.4v.

Besides the speed and torque specs of modern LP servos are more than adequate for rubber tyres.

Totally agree.

You need to install a UBEC to feed the receiver and servo with a constant voltage. This increases weight, which maybe is not a problem if your car is underweight.

But you can find many low profile servos that are fast even on 6V.

Haven't heard any of the "pros" doing this.

Plenty fast and ample torque. Infact, most of the time people put a little expo on the steering or slow down the rate.

HV is really about torque for 1/8th buggies and 1/5th scale stuff. The best HV stuff is not really any faster than the best 6V low profile servos, but damn the torque figues are high on some.

My throttle/brake servo has 35kg/486oz.in torque and still does 0.13 transit.

And that's at 7.4V and I feed it with a 8.4V lipo....!

Zip. Never seen any do this.

The sanwa SRG-BLS V2 appears to be in >50% of the top 1/10 TCs

A HV servo doesn't perform any better at 8.4v than it does at 7.4v. The stated 7.4v numbers are it's peak.

Your argument is invalid.
