Default Is the Reedy Qusar good for charging my GP3300's?

I want a charger that is AC. (Plugs into the wall) The only decent one Im finding for under 150 bucks is the Reedy Quasar Pro.

Is this a good choice or should I be looking for a different AC charger?

I have it. I like it. It's pretty adjustable, so if you switch over to 3700s it won't be a problem. You can adjust the charge rate to at least 6 amps (that's the most I use) and it has a 20 amp discharger.

Make sure it has version 2.0 or later software if you buy it used. There was a software issue early on.

I think it gives you the best bang for the buck.

yeah it is pretty cheap for what it does. Just wondering if It can compared to the more expensive chargers. Like the ones that use power supplies.

Anyone else have some input?

Bad for your 3300's in any way?

It isn't a bad charger, I USED to have 2, then the recall came out and I had trouble with them, so then I sold them off and bot a LRP2 and I also have a duratrax ICE. The power supply is a bit of a pain but I've had no trouble with either charger and am happier with these then I ever was with the Associated.

Just my .02.

i just want somthing that doesnt require a power supply.....

It doesnt need to have all the bells and whistles. Just so that I can change the amperage and can handle the 3300 batteries without problems.

So does the Quasar fit my description?

Just set your delta peak at about 30mv and your charge setting at 6 amps if running stock, when you discharge at 20 amps for 0.9 cutoff 5.4 total for a 6 cell and you should be fine.

I agree. You'll be fine with it. There's nothing to worry about.

It appears to me you are looking for responses to stuff you are trying to buy off Ebay at the last possible minute. Why don't you try to research before you bid, or better yet support you LHS!! So far you have not really listened to any advice people have given you thus far anyhow. People don't mind helping but if you try to contradict what they have to tell you then it makes it hard for them to want to help you at all.

If you're going to get the quasar you might as well just get the integy 16x7. It's the same charger but has a 30 amp discharge rate and never had the recall issues.

People kept suggesting the chargers with the power supply's. I dont want one with a power supply unless its cheap as all h3ll!

Im 16 years old. Do you really think I can easily spend 100 on a charger and anohter 100 on the power supply. Gas is like 3 bucks a gallon around here!

THe quasar #611B (the one Im looking at) is the after recall replaced version. But ok, Ill look into the 16x7. I acually have a zero equlizer discharger on the way so discharging really isnt that much of an issue. Thanks for the recommendations.
