Default Motor Capacitors

Hi Noobie,

You should install three (3) 0.1uF 50 volts non-polarized ceramic capacitors to your motor to help reduce the noise generated by the motor.

Solder a capacitor between each of the following:

  • POSITIVE (+) motor tab & NEGATIVE (-) motor tab
  • POSITIVE (+) motor tab & GROUND tab
  • NEGATIVE (-) motor tab & GROUND tab

If your motor does not have a ground tab, solder the capacitor leads to the can of the motor .

Just to let you know that majority of stock motors and some mod (V2 and maybe others) have caps already and is not needed.
