Give me until the 12th as I think there is one body that I am missing.

I was wondering about the lightweight version of the Tamiya Nissan GT-R body. Three other lightweight bodies from Tamiya made the list, but not this one. Sent an email to Scotty on this. Still waiting on a reply

hi kraig- quick question about the spec ESC list. i see a BUNCH of manufactures on the list --- GForce listed with two models, Core listed with two models, HPI with one model, KO with one additional model, Much More with four models, Sky RC with two models, Speed Energy with two models -

http://s3.amazonaws.com/bitter_event...d_controls.pdf

but these ESC is not on the ROAR approved list -

http://www.roarracing.com/approved_non_timing_escs.php

do we know if this ESC is just pending approval, or do we have a potential ESC with an advantage just like <insert name here> from <insert year here>?

Here is a shot of the Gravity wheels and tires that will be used for the Spec Grand Touring class at this year's IIC.

This same photo can be found on their Facebook page.

Hi Mike,

These are all good questions and since Scotty is out of town right now I guess I should try and answer them.

The International Indoor Championships is not a U.S. only race. I think you will agree that racers from around the world attend and some of those participants race the spec classes. Not every manufacturer imports their products to the U.S. and some U.S. manufacturers don't export their products overseas either. One thing that is common to the racer is the rules in regards to motors and speed control timing. As a racer, no matter where I am racing, I would hope the definition of the rule is the same no matter what language I speak, read or write.

I hope this answers your question and if not, we can chat at the meet and greet and I will let you drool all over my avatar.

Nice choice on using the TCS Spec Pit Shimuzu tires for F1.

See you there Kevin!

Kraig,

Will the F1 tires be pre-mounted or do we have to put them together at the track?

I don't do Face Plant. However, great news and going to attend now. Will run F1 and a sedan class TBD.

Default Formula 1 Tire Announcement

We are proud to announce that the official Formula 1 tire for the 2014 IIC will be the Tamiya Championship Series tire.

The spec tire is the Tamiya “TCS” branded tire that is used for the Tamiya Championship Series. Product codes: 1031 RC F1 Tire Front (Soft), 1032 RC F1 Tire Rear (Hard) and 51378 F-1 wheel set.

These tires are the same compound tires that have been used successfully for several years in the UF1 Series and across the F-1 club racing landscape. They are an OEM product of renowned tire manufacture Pit Shimizu made exclusively with the Tamiya “TCS” logo for easy tech inspection.
This combination of wheel, tire and insert has been a very successful combination for both UF1 and TCS and we be the perfect fit for the IIC.

I am not sure since this announcement came from left field. You probably should bring your glue with you just to be safe. As soon as I know I will post it here.
