Why mess around with that ? Just get a Millenium Pro and select the NIMH-2 charge mode and press the button !

I do have 2 T-30's that I also use for my 2400's and for discharging and motor run-in, but my NIMH packs only get charged on my Millenium Pro.

Can an older T30 safely charge ni-mh packs? I have heard from some people that even with the voltage threshold T30's shouldn't be used on ni-mh as they don't have "ni-mh software"? Is this true?

I don't think any of the T-30/35's have special "NIMH software".

They just have settable voltage threshold and plain old linear charge mode.

Guys: Give Jim at CE a call. They have been great in answering my questions on the T35 and TD45. They upgrade and costs were reasonable. Ex upgrade TD30 to TD45 with new prom was $100, B/L upgrade is $50, and black case is $20.

Cool thanks.

I've got 2 T-30's that I'd like to get re-calibrated, updated ROM, and a backlight put in.

anybody ever have problems discharging/cycling nimh cells on a T-30? A friend of mine has one and says that when trying to cycle his nimh cells he gets a voltage too high error. If he lets the pack sit for a while after charging then it will discharge.

Hi Newracer,

Yes, it happend to me also.
I tried to cycle my old Sanyo 3000 (not HV).
And got also the same error message.
However I didn't try to lower the discharge Amps to 25 or 20.
I think the T30 can't handle the high voltage when a pack of batteries has just peaked. The voltage would drop after a few more seconds and the T30 would discharge them.

I will confirm this when I tried it out.
But have to wait, I lend out my T-30 for a few days.

I think the older version software is set to a certain peak voltage and the newer version will accept the higher output voltage fot he newer cells......If i'm wrong let me know but I think that's what Jim from CE told me. I hope this helps.
