Techno Person always wants the best gear...

The Helios Compitition edition will be very good...Not to mention the Airtronics M11 too.

I wouldnt say the Lynx 3d i have now is a low end radio. Do you guys really thnk i will notice a difference going to the Helios. I also think it is kind of interesting that most everyone who have replied have said to get the Helios. Not that the Airtonics or Futaba are bad, it just seems the people who have them are not as impressed with them to recommend them. I know a few of you have but if you go to the track the Airtronics are all over the place, not here though.

the first thing you will notice with A Helios or an m8\11 is they have the best steering pot behind the wheel. Translation better feel and response. I used to drive with only Futaba gear. About 5 years ago I got an m8 and haven touched Futaba since. Futaba makes good stuff dont get me wrong I just preferred the feel I got with the Airtronincs radio.

My .02 worth

I've used a JR Xr2 before. I believe it's the same radio as the DX3 but without DSM.

Well it look like we have a winner. I really appreciate everyones input and in a way i am taking it to heart. I see JR has a synthesized version of the Helios out now. It looks identacal and uses all of optional parts like the drop down wheel. Anyway since i have already had good luck with my Novak reciever i can still use them and wont have to by anything new. sounds like the best of all worlds.
