Nice addition to your carpark! The 747 looks like a beast
The 6.2 is the opposite: a sophisticated slim chassis. Enjoy the build!

Yes, the one I just assembled is a TC6.1. I decided to add a TC6.2 to the mix

Thanks, I'm looking forward to building and running them!

Very nice! Thanks for posting!... I think I may have seen that picture of your M on M3forums.net

Okay, seeing as people are posting about full size cars, I may as well add my 1:1 M3 as well... It's a 2006 E46 M3 SMG with 60,000km. I don't drive it as much as I'd like, but when I do it nice to get it out for some AutoX and runs around our local speedway.

This is my 1:1 M3 Build Thread if anyone is interested.

I did make some progress on the RC E92 M3 GTS, and will post photos later.

Thanks Izzy! I'm a big fan of the E92 M3's as well ... Ah what am I saying...? I'm a big fan of M3's in general

Looking back at some of the pictures you guys have posted on you RC's for inspiration and tips. I notice not many have the big GTR wing on them. I debating as well, as I like how clean it is with out. I wished I had a slightly smaller one for the GTS look.

Here is the E92 just finished paint and preliminary decaling. Not sure how much more it will get or if a wing of some type will get installed, however I wanted it to look somewhat like what taking ownership of a E92 M3 GTS form the dealer would look like. You know, a car purchased from the M Division though your local dealer? Or even better, Euro delivery!! I may decal it out to the max after, but we'll see. I 'm enjoying the clean GTR/GTS look right now.

The color is a blend of Parma florescent orange and FastOrange at about a 70/30 mix. The other color is Parma Pearl black on the roof to replicate the carbon roofs. I tried various screen patterns to give that carbon look, but at the end of the day it they looked to overdone, and not scale. This is more scale looking to me.

Start of the decaling

Dealer delivery decaling complete

Man, you guys are taking this thread to the next level and I'm loving it!

Izzyracer,

Do you have any updated rc cars/shells? Somehow I can tell you do nice work too.

Viper Z,

Nice 1/1 BMW. You're just as detailed with the real thing as the hobby grade stuff—you're a true hobbyist. The e92 looks absolutely stunning. All I can say of that paint color is "Wow"!

Thanks! It really turned out better than I expected. I wanted to amp it up slightly over the stock GTS orange, but keep a factory look. It looks stunning in person, and I know I'll be using this color mix again!

as you know, this was the look I was after

Thanks for the great words Evo!

As for the E92, I'm glad you talked me into a single color rather than kit theme, or multi color for this one. I do have to say I like this body the best of the current RC range and will have to order a few more. Next up is the HPI E46 M3 GTR. I have to be honest and say I'm not so fond of this body itself, which pains me as that's 1:1 M3.

I was just going to do the kit Yokahama theme and call it a day, but now I'm thinking I should try to replicate the carbon black of my M car, or just come up with another racer theme....

Very nice! Thanks for posting up all the cars and cars That's the great thing about white car, they always looks clean, even when they are not. That's a nice collection of cars! The E30 M3 looks to be a nice body, so much so I had to order one too!!

Thanks on the comments M235!

The 1/8 Kyosho GT2 VE, I suspect that is the one you are referring to, is a 360mm wheel base car, so look for that. Ofna makes a GT-V2e which is also a 360mm chassis car. The 360mm car is harder to get bodies for as there is not many available. However if you are wanting the Kyosho bodies, then that's whats needed.

I have wanted a 360mm chassis 1/8 at first for they look more scale, however built a GT8 from my Traxxas Rally, purchased a Ofna X3 GTe. Both these are 330mm cars. They look a bit more chubby and less scale, but there are more body selections for them.

This is my TRX Rally set up as a road car. Even though its based on a 1/10 SCT, in road trim its really a 1/8th scale

This is my Rally-GT8 car

Both cars are running the Castle Mamba Monster 2 ESC and Castle 2650kv motors on 4s.
