Default Serial number for Schottky Diode

Hey guys

I went looking for a schottky diode to my local eletronic shop. I know they should be above 3A/30v. But they cant find anything with those numbers. They need the internacional part number (something like 1N4003...).

I know there are a lot of threads about this same question, but no definitive answer was given. I think all diodes have these number printed in them.

Even those which are sold by Novak should have a part number.

Can anybody give me the serial number?

Thx in advance

If it has to be 3A/30V try 1N5821. http://www.web-tronics.com/semicondu...ky-diodes.html

But first I'd call the owner of the electronic shop you went to and complain abouts his uneducated staff.
Then I'd find another electronic shop where the employes know how to look up electronic components in their books (or computers).

yeah, but i think i had bad luck. The first time i got there a not so friendly employe said that "they only work with serial numbers".

The second time (when i already had ford_racing serial) i asked for the specs of the diode and the owner went to his computer and got the info in 2 minutes.

Just bad luck with the first guy i guess.
