Parma is limited in the 200mm class, because the few 200mm bodies they make don't work well. They are working to cure that, but until the last few years, Parma has been making equipment for the "play" end of RC. With the input of of mostly Paul C. and a few other racers they are now either making or developing stuff for the racer. Making a body that acutally works well is not always easy. Paul was only really racing carpet, so naturally the first "race" bodies they have (speed 8, then the Alfa) are good carpet bodies. They blew up the Alfa to 200mm, but it just doesn't work well as a nitro asphalt body. It does work better than their previous 200mm body the MG X20. I had been telling Parma this for a while. Paul is now running nitro so watch for something better from the people in Ohio. I guess the major point of this is to say that politics isn't always the reason why there aren't more choices.

FRP-Have you ever seen a Ride Accord? My guess is not based on your comment.

IMO Protoform are the best "race" bodies... Parma has a 10th scale body, I've never seen a ride body since you can't get them around here... HPI and Tamiya are Play bodies and up until recently so were their cars.... For the most part I don't mailorder bodies, I almost always buy them locally... There's exceptions here and there....

I'd just like to see more race bodies that work and less 1 body races....

I think the funny thing about the perception that there are 1 body races is the fact that at big ( non capet foam)races, most racers bring 2, 3 or 4 differnt body styles painted up and ready to go. They will use what works best for the most part, not even if they are sponsored by a paticular body former. At the worlds I saw at least 10 differnt body styles being used. By the time the mains came around, it was pretty much 2 differnt styles that were prevelant. Why ? because thats what worked, not what was available to run.

Now back to the G6, this body and some others that Dale has done, are a direct result from the success of Parma's Alfa on the rug.. PERIOD. The market asked for an alternative, and Dale has provided one.

I run the Stratus 3 on my L3T, can't comment on how it would be on a 4wd car... Last season I ran the Mazda 6 on the 4wd and had decent luck with it....

.

Tim, from some of the A-main pics, it looked there there was a Ride Accord, Mazda 6, Yokomo type-E, and Losi Status (various numbers of each)making apprearance in the finals.

If I can recall the two bodies that were used the most were the Mazda6 and the Yoke E. Actually lets get back to the threads topic the G6. Has anybody run the body yet ?

I'm eventually going to be ordering one. And hopefully soon. I've got an issue with the body I have now. It sits WAY too high. And it's the lowest I can get it. It sits too high, and yes, I cut it on the lines. Is this going to effect the handling of my car considering the body is higher? Or will I benefit from it?
