Seems to have lost the aggression in the lines that the real car appears to have (never seen one though, being UK-based).

Interesting though that Protoform have moved formally down the low-downforce route. In an interview with Oscar Jansen in one of this months UK mags, Oscar suggested that proper aerodynamics was the next big development for RC, because we now have the battery power to overcome the drag issues.

I tried Stratus3 carpet last week on asphalt, where the hell is my front downforce? I would never use carpet based body on asphalt, the front downforce is just WV$%^CE.....

So you guys wanna do G6 on asphalt.. beware...

Protoform clearly state on their site that it was not designed to create traction but to have low drag. So why are you all complaining that it will understeer?

ttso
Have you tried the all-purpose Stratus 3? The carpet version is not designed for asphalt. I tried it too out of curiosity, it did not run very well, but I would not complain. It's like mounting some slick tyres on a buggy then running it on a dirt track and complain there is no traction.

Its cool-I like it a lot Now where has a G6 ever raced? Maybe if PF changes the name to GTO-then its a real race car. Grand Am cup I believe is where the GTO races in.

Man you guys have no room to complain, just be happy you get body options from Protoform.
I run for them (Oval) and we are lucky to get a new body every 2 years. LOL

We only have 2 options right now the 2002 Monte and the 2004 Dodge R/T.
I need to get on Dale's case to get the Charger and Fusion out to us !!

The GTO races in the Speed World Challenge.... I've seen it in person and I like it with the flared wheel wells better than the street version.... Matter of fact they were looking for a driver for the real thing, I'm pissed that I can no longer race full size cars.... Oh it races in GT not TC, then again that doesn't stop us from using the CTS...

1. It's an American car,

2. It's not a Stratus.

Alan the rules only say it has to be raced, they don't say they have to be raced in a TC class.

And I believe there's a team running the G6 in the Speed TC class.

bodies must resemble 2 or 4 door cars that have raced in a touring car series.

So that means that the Corvette, Viper, 911,Mustang and Saleen SR if submitted to Roar would be legal.... No where does it say thay have to be raced in a TC CLASS....

that have been raced in a TOURING CAR series meaning that the Saleen, the Mustang, Viper etc. are by class definition illegal because they are raced in GRAND touring class, rather than the touring class. It's a different class completely, therfore it receives the GT moniker.

The Pontiac GTO races in both Speed GT AND Grand-Am GT. The Racer's Group runs the Grand-Am team and just got their first win at Watkins Glen this past weekend. TRG has a bunch of factory GM drivers doing the work. Stu Hayner isn't going very far with the car in Speed GT, however, even though it looks really good and he's an above average driver with years of experience in cars from showroom stock to Trans-Am.

No Pontiac G6's listed on the season entry list for Speed Touring series (I doubt a privateer would show up at the last minute with one):

Thread hijack over.
