On a low bite track I have been keeping the High Roller tires still at 1.75 rear with 1.70 front. And that was with pink rears and magent fronts. If your going to keep the tires bigger, or as they come....I would run white rears, and grey or black fronts. Remember that running the white/grey/black family of foam will wear much faster than the pink/magenta foam. Especially grey front tires wear pretty fast.

Thinking ahead to 2006-my wife asks why I didnt recommend hotels on the Chagrin/I271 exit. Less than 10 minutes drive to the Gate and loaded with restaurants like Red Robin and Bahama Breeze. I'll likely look into getting a preffered rate at one of those hotels next year.

Well-we also know to remove Knights Inn!! But how was the Red RO Inn on Rockside? It chnaged ownership between the 04 and 05 HC and I would like some feedback on the hotel.

Thanks,
Ray

I thought the Red 'RO' Inn (Rock, right?) was just fine. I mean, it wasn't fancy, but our rooms were clean and it was literally like a few blocks from the track.

Ray,

First off, I was ROBBED by the Red RO? Inn! I am currently working with my bank to find out where the fraudulant charges came from!

Jim Wheeler stayed at the Hampton Inn and had nothing but good things to say. I know whwere I'll be staying next year! That whole strip looks great, and the Monster Burger at Red Robin kicks ass!

yes-the Independance exit off of 480/77 is also not a long drive. $50 to $60 is a great room rate!! That exit also is not far from Hoggies, the Winking Lizard, Quakar Steak and lube, etc.

Keep the feedback coming-I need it. As you know as a local-I stay at home-its hard for me to know what the rooms are like.

Thanks everyone,
Ray

It's the "Red Ro Inn." The "of" from "Roof" was removed due to a change of name/ownership for that location. At least that is what Fred told me, and we all know he doesn't know anything.

Btw: thanks for archiving those web cam pics for me. lol!

Ray,

My brother and I always stayed at the Baymont Inn that is right next to the Red Roof and across from the Champs Holiday Inn. I believe with the AAA discount it was cheaper then or the same price as staying at a Red Roof but it is by far nicer and you get a free continental breakfest. Alot of guys stayed there when you guys hosted Nats too.

The best part is you can walk to the greatest Denny's on earth.
