Default Touring Oval class at Storm Steel

For anyone that wants to mess around with oval but only has a 4wd touring car, I am promoting a new class to run at Storm Steel in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Here are the rules.
Any stock 4wd touring chassis run in 4wd mode. No aftermarket chassis plates
13.5 with timing
Any esc in blinky mode
Tire/rim set - Speed Passion SRD-RS1WT01 or RS-00307. Grinding of tire tread is not permitted. Sanding down mold parting line is allowed.
Any 2s lipo battery
Any 1/10 scale body that covers the tires when the steering is pointed straight ahead.
This is your chance to run any body style you want. Trucks, a bus, a 49 merc, whatever you want as long as it is 1/10 scale and covers the tires. Get creative and funky.
Minimum weight – 1450 grams
Race length:
Qualifiers – 5 minutes, Mains – 8 minutes
Minimum height:

The concept of this class is to have fun with your road cars during the summer. We developed the rules so that most people wouldn’t have to buy much and have a really fast car.
As far as dates go, we would be racing with the IROAR guys on their dates.
May 10,11 Marshalltown
May 17,18 Storm Steel (BSR SERIES)
June 7 Storm Steel
June 14,15 Marshalltown
June 21,22 Storm Steel (BSR SERIES)
July 12,13 Marshalltown (BSR SERIES)
July 19 Storm Steel
AUG 2 Storm Steel
AUG 9,10 Marshalltown (BSR SERIES)
AUG 16 Storm Steel
AUG 29,30 and 31 BSR Nationals
Check back on the dates before you go to a race. There have been rumblings that these may change slightly.
We will be able to run on any of the dates as long as there are 3 cars minimum. The BSR SERIES will not be keeping points or awarding trophies for this class.
Check out iowafasttrackrc.com and iroaronline.org for updates.
Hope to see a lot of people at the track.
