Speedruns

Which cars do you guys use for speedruns? I was thinking about the Serpent Cobra GTE, but are there better options ( besides the XO-1)?

Most ⅛ on road gt cars work pretty well.

OFNA X3 GT coming out with their Electric version soon, you should check it out or if you want something now check out DM1.

XO-1 is great as well but that's besides the point :)

If you have the money to spend, then go for it.

The fastest GT cars in the world all seem to be the Ofna GTP2e
They have gone 146 mph = 234.96 km/h

The Ofna GTP2e is the only GT car that has a 14/43 diff ring & pinion gear ratio. All of the other GT cars have 13/43 gears or less, so the GTP2 has a much taller final drive ratio than any of the GT chassis and will always be the fastest for top-speed running; regardless of motor pinion gear. They're also very inexpensive as a roller kit; around $200 USD, sometimes less...

Also, the Warrior GT body has been giving top-speed racers the best results; typically 7 mph to 9 mph faster than any other body available, due to it's superior top-speed aerodynamics and hi-speed stability.

Feel free to contact me if you have any more top-speed questions, ok.

Good luck and have fun going fast!

I think that the Late model Dirt Oval from OFNA is superior to the GTP2e. The diff ratio is 3.14:1, which is really good, and it has the much better/more adjustable front and rear pivot ball suspension. All of the option parts from the GTP2e work on the Late Model, and its about $20 cheaper. The are many other small details that make the Late Model better than the GTP2e, but I'll let you discover those.

FYI, the diff ratio for the GTP2e is the same as the Late Model 14/44, or 3.14:1. The nitrohouse site is incorrect.
