What's causing you to believe it will be unreliable?

Coming with all the shims required? Not sure ... you may need more or less than what comes with the kit. But shims are relatively inexpensive.

You might be going through the ring gears quicker than with 17.5 motor.
I wouldn't run 13.5 boosted in EVO 6.

I've done some changes to electronics in my Exo 6, plus direct mount servo.

Because everywhere I read people seem to be having issues with the gearboxes stripping gears.

In my 2 years of racing my hobao h4e I've never had to replace a belt or pulley, so I don't want this to be a downgrade in terms of reliability.

I think every person's experience varies. But during my summer of racing my exo 6, I had to replace both the front and the rear pilot shaft gears. They are cheap, and very easy to replace. The trade off is that you end up with a car that has more direct power to the wheels.

I suspect a belt driven car might be more appropriate for that level of power.

Folks that have chimed in saying 13.5T boosted is too much for this car ... have you actually run 13.5T boosted in it?

I have and the car handles 13.5T boosted no problems. Just build it properly!

If my tc4 can handle a 2.5t boosted, this EVO6 can do the same...
A Nikko can handle 13.5 boosted... Come on guys...

Some GT racing from the weekends Toys For Tots trophy race... EXO-SIX was locked in despite cold and very windy conditions that dusted over the track and made it very slick. Just removed the sway bars and car was in cruise control the whole way.

A picture with your post, when trouble shooting, will probably get more rctech help than without...

Too many horses in the stable. Time for one to be let go to frolic in another pasture. Been a great car.

Cars ready for tomorrow's shakedown!
Exo 6 has been rebuilt from the ground up! And now running the EVO 6 shocks, was using the yokomo until recently.
And of course my belowed Raceberry EVO 5 is back on the track
For those with bad eyes, yes I am running complete yokomo suspension on the Raceberry EVO 5

Have you tried it? It's a really fun car to drive. I wonder if Mike will start to support it with some Exotek stuff. Would be interesting to see a CF chassis.
