Basically every 1/12 kit today is good. Check what your LHS has support for. You can't go much wrong with the Associated but there are others just as good like CRC Carpet Knife.

Any of the kits now are great for 1/12th scale. I heard the carpet knife is a great car. I am also looking to get into 1/12th scale. I am looking toward the speedmerchant rev 4. I like that both companies don't use a t-bar in the rear. I have found t-bar to be a pain in the butt. Do get a kit that you can get parts from the lhs. Other things needed are motor, batteries, charger, speed control, mini servo, discharger, radio unless you are gonna swap that out. Am I missing anything guys. I am only going buy what I can think of. I think most 1/12th scale car kits don't include a body or tires. I hope this is helping you I haven't raced these yet.

Peace Aaron(W-W)

Speedmerchant and CRC are pretty much hopped up 12L's.... If you want a T bar car go for the CRC T force if you would rather have a link car there's the Rev4 or Carpet Knife.... I love my CK but would also to love to try out a Rev4 or even a CEFX.... I'd stay away from Corally unless you can get parts local, they tend to not use standard 12th scale parts.... You pretty much can't go wrong with any of them though.... You'll wonder why TC's can be this durable...
