on road michigan?
Anywhere to run in Michigan? Can't seem to find anything?
#2
Where in the state are you looking?
#3
Detroit region, I live between Ann arbor, flint, and detroit
#4
No, not really. Lots of the Detroit people go to Lou's in Canada, hobby stop west in Toledo, the Gate near Cleveland, and now that rapid competition is open in Grand Rapids, people are going to try to head there.

There is also Action Hobbies Kingsville in Kingsville Ontario about 40 minutes from the Detroit/Windsor border.

I thought that Larry's would be our best hope but he is DEAD against it. Too bad because we have so many good and dedicated on road guys.

Man, I really wouldn't even mind some weekend parking lot racing, I just want to do some on road again, I came from Colorado, and it was pretty popular there

Portage huh? That's still a little drive, but it could be worth it, maybe I should start figuring out what car I need, last time I raced a hpi pro 2 was the car to have lol!

As a side note...they set up ramps and race buggy and sct in between the on road races, depending on how many entries...it sounds like T001,VTA,USGT and sct are the more popular classes...at least that's what I've read...
You can get a little more information by going to the Indiana and Michigan posting here on rctech...

Just so everyone knows we have started an on road race on Sundays at a church in Redford. We will be running vta style cars with 13.5t motors. For more info see the Michigan thread on here

I have had a lot of conversations with the guys over there. They will NEVER do onroad ever again. The reason why is because they've found onroad guys to not be loyal at all. They complain about everything and every rule and as soon as another track opens up, they split. THAT is what I was told and what I've experienced to be true. Larry's does not survive on track revenue alone but on purchases. You can run on the beginner track with is like onroad but a rubber surface. However, you can't race. There is a place in Monroe that has carpet for racing but it looks terrible and they are pretty bad at letting anyone know about it. I don't even think it's race carpet.
