steering shaking problem
 

hi guys*:D

i have a strange problem the video gonna explane every thing but one thing that i didnt mention it on the video but its in the description of the video that i change my one way diff to spool by welding the joints :cool: :nod:

i think cuz of the diff because every single thing is really fine and oiled*:cry:

Can't fix that. Your universal joints are not designed to operate at that angle, you need a dual cardon joint of some sort or less steering angle... and as it's a drift car that's not an option to just run less steering angle.

If it makes you feel better, the car was doing it before you just couldn't see it.

Your axle joints are binding. You can try double cardan style axles, commonly known as ECS or DCJ in the R/C world. However, with the steering extremes you're looking for I'm not sure those will completely cure the issue.

Nothing you can do about that. I think people call it "chatter"

The only thing you can do is buy aftermarket joints (called DCJ's) if they even have it for your car.

These are an example of what you'd be looking for. Notice where the joints come together, there's a piece in between. That coupling will allow better angles and prevent the chatter. Unfortunately, that's the only way to fix it.

I didnt understand the last part of your post :D I mean there wasnt shaking like that or at lest wasnt that much ...!!!
Also one more thing that I changed the diff to spool one and it was one way diff

the same thing that before the spool diff every thing was ok

Even when you ran a front diff the axle bound with each revolution, but the diff action smoothed it out and you it didnt hear it actually make noise. Standard joints are no good for that massive steering angle.

A spool makes it worse. It happens even when you use a diff, but it's just not nearly as noticeable.

Again, nothing you can really do to stop it except buy after market parts for your car. I don't even know if they make ones that small.

So the last decision now is ECS or DCJ

what is the difference between them ?!

ECS = DCJ

Xray calls ECS for "Equalized Corner Steering" but they're the exact same things as DCJ "Double/Dual Cardan Joints"

xray names parts in their own, special, "luxurious" way.
