Does anyone know what the preferred Speed control is in blinky 10.5?

It's a complete mixture, but I believe there are quite a few LRP sponsored drivers

There is no speedo preference, they all work. The cars are very light (730g) so all the hocus-pocus that is supposed to be there in certain speedos makes very little, or no difference.

Gearing and motor timing do make a difference, and you learn what makes a particular motor go fast. Lots of timing isn't usually the best solution.

12th scale is all about being fast by having a constant line and corner speed. If you had the best speedo and motor in the world, and you couldn't drive, it would make no difference. Look at the results of the Euros - plenty of people at the back of the Modified list who wouldn't make the B Final in 10.5 Stock!

Most popular speedos in the UK - LRP SXX v2 and Flow, Hobbywing v3.1 and G-Force 1S 120A. HTH

I've got two 12 scale cars, one CRC and one Corally.. both are sort of recent, both for LiPo.. but not quite the latest thing. I'd love to run 12th scale, but nobody seems to run it in Spain Do people run 12th outdoors?

He retired from 1/12th in 2006, after winning the worlds. He started running 1/12th again in 2011 and spent his time developing his own car, the Zen RS from Zen Racing, rather than concentrating on his racing.

David still races and he still wins - he won both our National Championships last year (Mod and Stock 12th) and this year he won the Stock Championship again. As Terry says, he is now developing his own car, the Zen Racing AE R5 conversion. Quality is excellent!

I think David feels he has nothing left to prove by racing at Internationals - he has won about 14 European Championships and 5 IFMAR World Championships. He is the only person to have won a Euros in Gas and Electric. We all enjoy him being at our Nationals and working with the master!!

Yes they do run 12th outdoors in some parts of the world. Here's some video from a 10.5 blinky race in Tamworth, Australia:
