shrekair, the Team 1 Hulk which is based on the Green Machine 3's is $31.99.

Personally I have 3 stock motors and they are all pretty old and abused. I spend a lot of time messing with the motors on the dyno and the track when I can. Trying to get the last bit out of them.

I just bought 2 GM3's the other day. What's a good brush/spring setup to start with? I've got a couple others, but they're just plain SLOW!

Also, I have 5 MVP's, 4-5 P2K's, 2 P2K2's, 3 Hellfire/Cores, 1 Chrome 11x2, 3 ti's 14x2, 10x2, 9x2

Big Jim recomends Red positive and green negitive. Using Reedy 767 brush. I have had good luck with red/green and 769 brush (767 with a hole). 4499 is hard on the comm but runs well as do the putnums. Fantom uses the 4499, just their number, and red/red springs. Both give ~ same numbers on the dyno with the edge going to red/green setup. I look more at the 20 amp numbers than max as this is where most stock motors run. Last month's R/C car has an article on brushes that gives a cross referance to what all the brushes are. FYI.

Anyone know where to get the HP printer for Robitronics dynos? I heard from a few people they're not made anymore, and I haven't seen them in any stores in a couple months.

JeffC: Try HP, we have had good luck here at the office getting stuff for old equipment we have. Sometimes they can point you in the right direction to a vendor who will have the item you need. Use the Fantom myself so I cannot be of any more help.

I guess that makes sense, just call HP themselves and ask. I've just been too lazy to write the numbers down lately, so I figure a printer would be nice.

Their web site has the number, hp The direct #'s I have are for routers and print servers for my office server. Main help# is 1-800-333-1917.

Agree on the printer. I use the Fantom and that gives both table data and curves. Even compairs motors. You can take a known motor and compair other with the numbers or add the gearing info. Was running my TC3 &X-Ray on the track last night. Having known numbers let me start the gearing closer than normal. Getting the X-Ray closer.
