ME - My guess would be either right now... or within the next 2 weeks. I have mine on order, and expect them to be in next friday.

ME-Darren said he should have them by the end of the month, though we didn't know they were already out, so he may have them sooner.

I would gear the P2K 1 or 2 teeth higher.

I got my P2K2 last weekend and all I have to say is that its smooooth and quiet. I did get it on a dyno at the track and it was close to the guys Green 3's but off on RPM and more watts. I ran it in my 12th scale and it was awsome. I lasted all 8 minutes not like the Green 3's that seem to fall short the last minute or so of the race. It never got hot or faded the whole weekend. My fastest run all weekend was with the P2K2. It looks like this might be the replacement for the green3 aka Smoked3.

P2K2 was fast tonight. I ran two 5-minute practice runs, one with a decent (tuned) P2K and one with a brand new P2K2. The P2K2 definitely seemed to have a better distribution of power. While the top speed was similar to the P2K, the overall feel of the car was much snappier than with the original P2K.

The motor did run a bit hotter than the P2K, coming off the track probably at least 15-20 degrees hotter. Not sure if that was a gearing thing or just "normal behavior."

I ran the P2K2 with a 21T/88T combo in the XXX-S. Before running (and per mr.losi's advice) I broke it in at 2V for 10 minutes, trued the comm, replaced the factory brushes with nicer slotted ones, and then ran another 3 minute break in at 2V.

Overall, my first impression is favorable. Will race with one this weekend.

Sounds like I'm gonna have to swipe one from inventory. We'll see what it'll do at the oval race this weekend.

Maann.. You guys need to keep up on this stuff.

My P2K2 will be in later this week. I won't be able to runit for about 2 weeks due to my radio situation. Sounds like a great motor...

rc...i use a 75 amp power supply....with the alum. flywheel...my dyno seems to be a little more conservitive than most....a very good motor on mine would be 59-60....a good motor would be 55up....over 60 on mine you have a rocket.....

also, i have done no testing on springs and brushes....also, they need to be broken in better....the bushings are still a bit tight...

man, those are good! Those numbers are about average for a p2K, not warm. But if those were right off the track, imagine what they would have been if the motors had been cooler! You may want to try the reedy 766 brushes too. I had a new pair of 767s in my P2K, and it kicked out crap numbers, so I put a pair of 766s in and broke them in, it made a world of difference. Let me know if you do.
