105 watt @ 16650 rpm
62% is the best effiency @ 18595 rpm

P2K:

Max 27.988 rpm
189 Nmm torque
129 watt
72,5%

Hard to wait...

By the way, do anybody know what's the unit for measuring the Spitfire torque?
Your spitfire numbers are off a Turbo Dyno, while the P2K numbers are off a robi, you can not compare them. I don't know anything about Turbo Dynos, but I have a robi, and the P2K numbers are very good.

Anyone seen any actual numbers for the P2K2? It looks very interesting!

Marvi,
Do you know how they get those numbers? Put the motor in the refrigerator for a couple hours.

The TRUE test of a motor, dyno it back to back, and use the second dyno pull as the test for the motor.

yeah, but RCCA's dyno also put the P2K at 140+ max watts...Their dyno is screwed up. I have only ever had a motor-a P2K- get above 130.

I was able to run a GM3 today with a 6.75:1 ratio in my Kawada and it barely got warm! So much for the up in smoke theory! I have 3 GM3 s and have had not one single problem.

Sad! Anyway, it was too good to be true. So all these motor specifications, are they only marketing bla bla? If they're not measured the same way, they doesn't matter...

However, do you know what's the unit for measuring the Spitfire torque?

Have any of you used the new P2K? I'm not sure what it's called, but the one with the black can.

Two of them came into our LHS a few days ago, and by the time I got there to buy them, they were gone.

Cosmo, we got a couple P2K2 motors also. Haven't had a chance to try one yet. Hopefully at the next race I'll have one. The one thing that I noticed on the motors we got, is that there aren't any dyno numbers anywhere on the package or the motor.

Is that what they're called? Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, does it?

Anyways, I know the first ones probably won't have dyno sheets. Only the "Pro" motors have those. They "Pro" motors won't be out for a litte while still.

Cole, the numbers you get with the motors are barely believable. As for comparing them, it has to do with the different specs of all the dynos. If they were all the same, well, they would all be the same.

So, the P2K2 is out? I'm getting one, or two...If it's better than the P2K, man! If anybody gets dyno #'s, post them! Prolly didn't have dyno sheets cause they were the standard model, not the pro model.

You're right speedo, it was probably the standard model. Cause it didn't say pro anywhere on the package. Also I'd love to see the dyno specs if somebody can do a dyno run on one of these.

Just got myself the P2K2s this evening. Going to break them in at the track tomorrow. mr. losi has a few and is gonna stick them on the Fantom Dyno sometime later next week.

Anybody have any gearing tips yet? I am gonna start with something really low, like a 7.2 or a 7.3 and then work my way up from there. I was running P2Ks with a pretty tall ratio, somewhere in the low 6's, but I don't want to smoke one of these off the bat. Hopefully they will be as strong as the P2Ks, but you never know...

Since the data of a Spitfire and a P2K cannot be compared - any suggestions about gearing, compared to a Spitfire? On or track 93/23 (48 pitch) is great with the Spitfire...
