Can anyone recommend a good starting point for gearing an Orion core stock in a buggy? It's going to be the handout motor for a race this weekend on this layout . I'm running it in a BK2, and if anybody can recommend a good brush/spring setup, that'd be great. Thanks!

Okay it's been awhile since the CO27 been out. I was curious what brush/spring combo people been having sucess with. Also what gearing should one try for a short technical asphalt track. just trying to get ready for a big race this weekend. oh yeah I'm still running 3300's. my 42oo won't be in on time. no biggie.

My home track is 150m long. (asphalt) I gear around 29.5mm rollout. Not a very technical course.

Recently ran a NATS on a more technical course, also 150m long and had to drop down to 28.4mm else I would burn the comm. Oh, and we run foams.

Don't know if this would help you....

Internal gear ratio 1.8
Spur 89
Pinion 23
Tire dia. 63

So spur/pinion ratio of 3.87 and total gear ratio 6.965
