Default Prolong Oiler

I had one of those. I got it by buying a full prolong kit, that had the prolong oil treatment, gas treatment, a wd-40 type can of prolong, and a needle oiler.

I think that is the only way that you can get it.

rccadet: thanks!
rccarracer: i have the chrome rs stock and in my case, it suits a technical track. i run a gm3 on long tracks because it seems the chrome rs doesnt have enough speed on the straights. but i ran it on a shorter track and it's fast enough to keep up with other racers (the ones who pass me on the long track.)

For long track I think Reedy Rage and Trinity GM3 works best

spongebob- it is just the most commonly used number, the standard, so you can compare numbers. I guess that's how it started, and it has stayed that way. It isn't much dufferent from 4.6 volts, so the difference is negligable.

If you look at the endbell, you'll see an opening where you can see the copper commutator inside. Just put a drop on the commutator and rotate the motor back and forth by hand a bit to spread it. Another way is to remove the brushes and put one drop on each brush then reinstall, but it's not necessary to go to the trouble.

Got my P2K2 pro yesterday. Amazingly the hoods were perfectly aligned, so I just skimmed the comm and broke it it. Also had to play with the shimming a little. Put it on the robotronic, and it came out 128 max power, with 107 in the 20-30 amp range. Compared to my best P2K at 130 max and 111, that is pretty good. Spin up time is about 2 or 3 hundreths off what a P2K is, that is due to the torque. On torque, this motor looks like a GM3, and I can not get the torque up. It doesn't feel as punchy as the P2K. I geared it two teeth lower, in 56 pitch than my P2K, as per my dyno's instuction.

Have just re-serrated the brushes, and cut the comm again, so I'll try it out on the dyno later today.

I got the pro model, so it came with 4499s. I kept those on there, cause I know they are good. Also have the standard red/green springs. I tried red/red, but it showed no advantage. I plan on trying either some 766s or 767s next.

I like the 767's and purple springs. My FDR was a 5.51 and the motor temperature was 134 degrees so I could have gone up two more teeth. The P2k's are fast so I can only expect the P2k2 to be much faster.

Geez! I was thinking of purple springs, I might have to try that...5.51? I would be scared to go below 7.5, I don't know if I can get pinions that big
