Hard to say. They didn't release an R version (that I'm aware of) of the t3 '11, '12 or the original t4, but they might.

If you're on a budget, you can always buy a used one.

A T4R with specs similar to the T3R ( silver alu bulkheads, FRP chassis) would be very, very tempting.

They are already a budget car. Outside of the initial buy-in you will have a car that handles good and is durable out of the box. It won't require tons of hop ups, aluminum hubs and caster blocks because the stock stuff is garbage, or replacement parts as stuff wears out. Unless you like to frequently switch out brands just pop for the Xray and enjoy racing, not polishing turds.

Have you looked at the CSO-One or the Team C TC10? Full carbon fiber chassis, alum bulkheads, pullys and shocks and both are closely based on the Xray T4 but are priced approx. $200 less. I found that parts carry over from one to the other. Spec R and Integy also have parts that fit, and are much cheaper than Xray parts.

AND NOW.....Let the flaming begin.

This. After owning a couple of budget cars, I won't buy another. Xray materials are superior, as are the fit and finish. I have a 3Racing Xi Sport. While it is actually a good handling car, it's fragile. Clipping a board is a DNF with that thing. I've really blasted barriers with my Xray and was able to continue.

Team C? I wouldn't be surprised if that thing grenaded all over the track. I had one of their buggies for one day and didn't even make it through qualifying. I came off a jump and it decided it didn't want the rear end anymore. It scattered stuff everywhere.

There is a reason the parts are cheaper for these other cars. The Xray parts are better made and far more durable.

Buy used from a local fast guy. The car will already be dialed in for your local track and you would have the potential tech support for life.

I have run my tc10 a couple of times and have found it to be plenty durable. I have up-graded a few things, but I am still well under the cost of a T4.

Just buy a used T4. You can get one in perfect condition with ECS axles for $250 shipped. Best investment, and car I have ever owned.

This. I just sold a T4 for $250 to a local, after he was on my enduro team and was sold on Xray durability.
