Default 13.5T, 8.5T gearing issue.

Sorry to start a new thread, I have asked on both the TC6 and 6.2 thread but have not got any response. My question is what gearing is a good starting point with a TC6.1 using a D3 13.5T motor and a gen 2 8.5T motor on a tighter, low bite, asphalt track?

You were not getting answers because you are asking 2 many questions with very little information.
Let's start with the 13.5 and go from there.

What class?
What speed control?
Boosted or blinky?
Are you using a fan?
Blinky 13.5 should be in the 4.0 to 5.0 FDR range depending on how much end bell timing you use. If boosted you want to be in the 5.0 to 6.5 FDR range depending on end bell timing and amount of boost you intend to use.
You see... Asking for gearing advice is such an oped ended question that most posters are unlikely to get involved since the proper gearing is so dependent on several factors that are unknown. To ask for gearing advice on 2 very different scenarios is likely to chase away most posters altogether.
