Matt Dienes (goop) ran his BMI Motorsports Monster on Sunday and he said it didn't just accelerate off the corner, it JUMPED off. He had a few guys asking him if it was a 19t

finally got some time to post my findings with the new bmi motorsports motors as i think im the first one to run one. at the sizzler i was having some speedo problems and tried every motor i had and everything felt slow so sunday i borrowed a speedo from brian mcgreevy and man that motor was sick fast. this was not a special team driver motor either he just grabed one and sent it. Brian is right i had people asking me if i was running a 19t and when i told them i was running a monster stock they started to ask me where i had gotten it.i checked hood alignment and it was perfect you dont find that very offen even when they say they do hood aligning.nice job jason and joe b. top notch motor building.

hey jason i will be calling you to send me some more stock motors. thanks bro

Thanks alot for posting the great results and kind words guys, Matt Dienes(Goop), Johnny G(flbugboy)ect.....Hey Matt...Im glad you noticed and posted something about the brush hoods being aligned dead on.....for those of you that don't know, this is "one" of the biggest things you can do on a stock motor to gain power all around (torque "and" RPM) , unfortunately it can be the most time consuming part of building them sometimes...about 80% of the motors I go thru need to have the brush hood screw hole and/or the spring post hole ovlonged to give the hoods the adjustment needed to bring the brushes into dead center alignment while running at simulated race RPM's... aligning the hoods exactly 180deg from eachother will cause the brushes to be considerably out off alignment when the motor is running at RPM due to the cocking of the brushes in the (almost always) "loose" brush hoods....I choose this method over sizeing the actual hoods where the brushes pass thru so other brand (molded slightly larger) brushes would still fit and can be used if a customer chooses......also remember that even slight brush size variations (most commonly different brands) can change the amount of brush cock that takes place in the hoods causing missalignment.....long story short , if you switch to a different brand brush, check and re-adjust (if nesessary) the hood alignment to compensate so that your getting full power ........thanks again guys......Im looking forward to getting alot more motors out there with the same great results .........Joe Buttacavoli

Jason

Couldn't pm you because your inbox is full so emailed you instead. Price is right for those motors so just confirm postage and payment details and i'll take those monsters off your hands.

Cheers

Paul
