Does anyone know places that have the 2 stage touring car foams in stock? I want to try some before the halloween race but I don't know of anywhere that has them in stock.

From what I have heard, the 2-stage tires are not necessary. Many of the team drivers were not using them in Vegas or they were using the older ones. In 1/12th scale, looked like the CRC boys were flying with standard tires. With the standard tires being about 40% less, why spend the extra money?

Junkie: Please get your facts straight before posting. JACO 2 stage tires won every class except 12th stock. Yes regular tires can still win but many chose the 2 stage tires becuase they were faster. If the racers who did good with regular tires would of ran 2 stage they would of been faster. That is a fact.

Morning. Jack, I spoke with our hobbyshop. They do not buy direct through Jaco. Can you email me (or PM) a contact name. Or... I'm one of 5 owners of our local track. Can I call somebody at Jaco and order them direct? I sent you a PM about this about a week ago but havn't heard anything.

We just started our season this past friday, and would like to get something started up soon.

Thanks.
Aaron.

There is good news about the sedan wraps: our testing has concluded and we have succeeded in making the tire perform in all classes, including mod. Over 15 test drivers in stock, mod, and 19 turn have all concluded that they experienced an increase in performance by simply switching tires. We will be producing these tires next week and shipping to a limited number of shops in the hopes that they will be available to everyone before next weekend so you can practice for Vegas. As I find out more info, I will relay it to everyone.

a quote from www.efra.se:

"18 Mar On request of an EFRA Member Country a postal vote was carried out.
Due to a un-animous postal vote the proposal will be valid from March 20th.
The rule 10.8 Appendix 3 (Electric track 1/12th) will be amended with:
Each Tyre on the car must only be constructed from 1 compound (shore rating/density) of foam rubber "

Hey guys,

Ampdraw still has a decent stock of 2-stage tires for both 1/10 and 1/12 from the IIC that we will be selling through the web, I will be posting an announcement this evening when it is up. Once they are gone they will be gone. Please don't PM me about it, just wait for the announcement.

Thanks!

No....not a fact Danny, I understand that even some team drivers did not use them confirming they were NOT faster as you mention. It seems that if they were indeed guaranteed to be faster with them, they would have used them.

Like I say... In my opinion, it is extra money for NO reason.

Junkie: You have tried 2 stage tires and weren't any faster with them ? Mike Dumas lowered his laptimes when he put 2 stage tires on his car in Vegas and they did win every class except 12th stock.

Every 1/10 stock JACO driver ran them including the TQ and winner.
Every 19 turn JACO driver ran them including the TQ and winner.
The TQ and winner in 1/12 mod ran them.
The TQ and winner in 1/10 mod ran them.
If they were not faster, how do you explain these results? We TQ'd every foam class! If they aren't good then we must be really lucky. lol. Sure, not all of the mod drivers in 1/10 ran them, but with 4 practice runs and most drivers never having run them before, many opted to go with what they knew worked rather than try something different. I respect your opinion, but I would try them before you draw any firm conclusions. As to the price...have you bought TRC's lately?
