Good work Mr. Bill. Good to see a race director stand up for the rules. Keep the race legit by going along with IFMAR, EFRA and ROAR.

We don't make double pink front donuts. In fact, we never did. We had pink and purple, but we will be discontinuing all PACKAGED donuts shortly since 99% of what we sell is mounted. Sorry.

Mr. Bill has it all wrong. People have to buy tires anyways, and these are readily available so why is it such a big deal.. Not to mention they ran the tires last year when no one could really get them. Doesn't make sense to me.

I guess the real question to ask regarding the 2-stage tires is: has the ROAR technicial director evaluated the tires and made an official ruling?

Will Jaco start selling foams mounted on Corally 1/12 wheels seeing that you are discontinuing all donuts?

Thanks,

Ronald

I really don't understand this ruling. Isn't a purple/orange, by this criteria also a two stage tire??? Or for that matter any tire that has rings glued together???

completely wrong, everybody ran them on their touring cars, including drivers sponsored by TRC and parma.

and 99% of the CRC drivers did use the older single stage tires, except for me, and i TQ'ed by how much...? oh yea! 7 seconds...

Of course we will continue to produce donuts. That is how we make tires! We just aren't going to package them and sell them under our name. We will sell them OEM and bulk like always.

Exactly. Selective rule enforcement. All tires are "laminated". That is how we achieve the correct width. The rubber is only about 1" wide so you must glue sheets together to make ALL tires. Every foam tire made is like this. ROAR's intent was to prevent adding a "coating or additional laminate" to the running surface, thus altering the adhesion characteristics of the foam. Any other interpretation renders all foam tires illegal, which is absurd.

I think we should start banning the really good drivers from races that way it will be a more equal playing field...There skills are an unfair advantage.
