Default Idea for manufacturers to help us support our LHS

Currently I am rebuilding a JRS-X I bought off here and am in need of a few parts, instead of ordering on-line I would rather make a purchase from a local hobby shop. Now I am blessed with having several hobby shops/tracks within 30 mins of my home but calling to find out if they have what I need can be both time consuming and frustrating.

In an ideal world it would be nice to see the larger companies offer a system sort of like what Microsoft offers (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mo....aspx?pid=002). When you find what you want you simply type in your zip code and it tells you who carries it and if they have it in stock. Believe me when I say I understand the infrastructure this would take to accomplish but these are the kind of changes that can take our local hobby stores to the next level.

Horizon has a deal like this for local shops.
But, they must sign up for it.

You can order it through the LHS website which is actualy a link into Horizons site, the parts come straight from Horizon(Losi), but your LHS get credit for the sale.

Kinda like the Shopatron feature some manuf. use.

Why don't you just e-mail them if calling is not possible.
