sorry, saw the opportunity, took the shot.

good info on the motor. i have been looking to pick one up and give it a go. also sounds like this might make a great 19t truck offroad motor.

You could have just stuck an EAM Sticker on it and it would have been a tenth faster off the bat!!

Uh...FYI, I usually race Open Mod Sedan and 1/12th 19T (Not one wants to run Mod 1/12th). Sometimes I run Open Mod Sedan and 19T Sedan. I ran 19T sedan this weekend to keep the 19T regulars humble

AdrianM, How have you found the V2 Dynasty compared to the original plastic endbell Dynasty?

I don't know how they compare but a few fast guys in the Florida State Series (www.fseara.org) have been running the conventional end bell Dynastys and Element 19T's. They are certainly as fast as the Reedy motor. I ordered some conventional end bell Dynastys today to test for myself.

Most of the guys here run are Reedy QM19's. My V2 Dynasty is at least as fast maybe a little faster.

The main reason for this thread was to show the V2 version could be fast. Lots of guys were knocking it at first. The release of the V2 Dynasty was just like the release of the Reedy QM19 Everybody thought the Reedy QM19 was slow until a few guys figured it out.

The way I figured out the gearing was by running it up on a Much More Motor checker at 5v. My good Reedys turn ~22.5K. The Dynasty turned ~20.5K. To reach the same wheel RPM (same top speed on the track) I calculated that I need to gear up ~5 teeth (5.0:1 final drive) I tried it ands it felt soft on the bottom so I went to the next smaller pinion (5.14:1). I basically just rolled the dice and ran it in my Q1... I TQ'd.

Helo,

I'm driving with Reedy QM 19 and can somebody tell me a good setup for the motor?
Springs now i goth orion 135°on the - and orion 150°on the +
Brushes 767 with al hole in 1.5mm
Timing original 24° (is there a better timing for that motor?)
I use comm drops for increasing burning in .

I dont geth really speed in , do i something wrong? On a big track with flowing corners and a straight off +-50m.Gear ratio spur 89 pion 30 and pulley 20( I'm driving with schumacher) and final ratio is 5.34

You have the right brushes but you need stiffer springs. I use Paradigm black Xtra heavy springs. This is stiffer than a Trinity purple. I have used a Trinity purple springs bent to 180 deg + 10 more deg.

If you run Orion springs try the 175deg bent to 180 on both sides:

41328 Pro Laydown Motor Spring 175° / 14oz.

Once you get the stiffer springs do some more gear ratio testing and look at your lap times. Go down 2 teeth from 5.34...one tooth per practice run on the clock and note the lap times then go up 2 teeth from 5.34 one tooth per practice run on the clock and note the lap times. An Orion Pro LCS really helps with this.

A couple of guys PM'd me for dyno readings...I never use a dyno as we never race dynos...lol! Nothing tells you more about a motors performance than a practice run on the clock.

Its illegal for us to change timing so we leave it alone. In the US the motor is locked at 24deg.
