I don't think that in 75 band any others will work but Airtronics (Sanwa), but in 27 band, KO will work if it is the "KR-297FZ 27MHz" and it works like a dream.

A 2 channel airtronics receiver. Slightly smaller than the 3 channel receiver.

See http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=LXLX60**&P=7
They come in either am/fm.

I've got two of those and they both glitched with a graphite chassis, so I switched to 27 band KO and it has never glitched with a M-8.

I have used Hitec receivers with no glitching in my M18 and HPI Micro. Can't beat the price to size ratio.

I use a m8 and have since they have been out and I only use Futaba 75mhz recievers with the radio, works fine and no problem as long as its the standard fm or mini std.fm,I tried the HRS reciever and it doesnt work and you can only use the airtronics crystals with the futaba reciever

Before I used Spektrum, I always used 2 Futaba R123F with my M8 and original crystals of Sanwa. Were much smaller than the RX-311. (Crystals of Graupner which is JR, also worked fine). But I preferred the original Sanwa crystals. I used the 40Mhz over here in Europe. KO crystals didn't work. But the Futaba receivers were no problem with the M8.

But Sanwa also have a RX-211, which is also a bit smaller than the RX-311. Could be a little more expensive. Over here Futaba were much cheaper.

JR receivers will work with airtronics too, I presently run RS300's and RS310's with my M11, 75MHz. What you really have to look for is receivers that are negative shift such as KO Propo, JR, Novak, and Airtronics. Futaba, and Hitec are normally positive shift, but Hitec does has receivers capable of negative shift. If you look at an XXtra receiver pot switches you'd see what I mean, The first dial selects either positive or negative shift (6-9) for the brand you own, Second pot (0-9).
